Jewish Christian Seminary of Florida Inc.

Introduction

Jewish Christian Seminary of Florida Inc. offers a Master's degree, courses toward bachelor's and associate degrees, and a certificate in Jewish Christian Studies. The courses provide a deeper spiritual understanding of Jewish Christianity, the Judaism practiced by Jesus/Yeshua and his early followers.

Currently, only one class is offered each semester which meets on Wednesday morning at 9:15 am EST. The class meets at 200 Knuth Road, suite 100 in Boynton Beach.

COVID-19:

When there is an active medical warning for Covid-19, students are requested to wear a face mask in the classroom

CORE PROGRAM:

There is a core Jewish Christianity concentration consisting of thirteen core courses. Upon completing these thirteen core courses including Hebrew and Jewish history, students have completed the requirements for the certificate or master's degree and the core program for the bachelor's and associate degrees. Plus they are eligible for a Bar Mitzvah or Bat Mitzvah and conversion to Jewish Christianity, which is the Judaism that Jesus/Yeshua practiced.

The eleven JCS department courses plus knowledge of the Hebrew language and Jewish History are essential for completing all programs and attaining either a degree or certificate. For a person who previously earned 82 college-level credits, completing the 38-credit core program qualifies them for a Bachelors's degree in Jewish Christian Studies. An earned bachelor's degree is necessary to enter the master's degree in Jewish Christian studies.

Only one course is offered currently per semester so all students of the seminary are part-time.

The application form can be printed, filled out, and mailed. Return it to the Jewish Christian Seminary of Florida Inc, Suite 101, 200 Knuth Rd. Boynton Beach, Florida 33436.

Associates of Religion and Bachelor of Religion Degrees:

Seminary classes enrich the attendees' lives by aiding spiritual development. Anyone can take the core courses and use them toward a certificate in Jewish Christian Studies. However, a religious degree in Jewish Christian Studies is generally more valuable.

There are four semesters each year, Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter.  Each semester lasts 11 weeks, which includes the final examination. A course consisting of three-semester credits normally meets for four 1 hour sessions each week for eleven weeks.

Graduates can choose to undergo a Bar Mitzvah or Bat Mitzvah. Jewish Christians recognize this conversion, but it does not meet the qualifications for immigration to Israel.

The seminary is not fully operational. Currently, one or two classes are offered each semester. Those who intend to work in a religious denomination other than Jewish Christian, should attain their pastoral/rabbinical training from the Christian or Jewish sectarian group where they intend to affiliate and practice their religious preference. Jewish Christian Seminary of Florida Inc. only provides core credits for Jewish Christian Studies.

The number of credits necessary for the Bachelor of Jewish Christian Studies is 120. Students can transfer up to 90 semester hour credits from another institution(s) toward a Bachelor's Degree if approved. The Jewish Christian major, consisting of 31-semester hour credits, must be taken at Jewish Christian Seminary of Florida Inc. to complete graduation requirements. However, the requirements for training in Hebrew language and Jewish history can be obtained elsewhere.

Seminary course offerings prepare students for professional religious vocations in Torah Observant Christian communities and Jewish communities that follow Messiah Yeshua. During the Summer Semester this year, the course offered during the Spring Semester will continue.

The Fall 2023 course offerings will consist of one course, Introduction to the Judaism practiced by Jesus (3 Credits). That Jesus/Yeshua practiced Judaism is made clear by Matthew 5:17-19.

Students attain credit for most courses taken at other religious institutions by transferring those credits to the Jewish Christian Seminary of Florida Inc. Transferred credits supplement a student's education, spiritual experience, and accumulated credits with Jewish Christian Seminary of Florida Inc. The college may one day attempt to partner with other Christian and/or Jewish colleges to build a good foundation for future personal growth and vocational success.

Plans for the seminary include hiring additional teachers and relocating to a larger facility. The seminary intends to offer more courses as the opportunity arises.

Acceptance into the program occurs without regard for race, sex, nationality, or political viewpoint.

The seminary needs to develop relevant curricula, so interested persons, graduate degrees preferred, are asked to apply with their testimony, resume, references, and area of interest to Jewish Christian Seminary Inc.
